Redstone - Lilly Lake Trail - Day ride ( fall )

This day ride is one of my favorites. We
ride from the town of Redstone, up past rushing waterfalls moss covered rocks, through what resembles the forest primeval. The largest spruce tree I have ever seen in Colorado shelters the trail as we ascend. Once we top out from our steep climb, we ride through aspen grove meadows to a red rock out-cropping which overlooks Table Mountain and the Marble area wilderness. This luncheon site is breathtaking. We return down to the town of Redstone, where we have been known to stop at the Inn, for a farewell toast at the
bar.
