HOLLY WADE SADDLES
DETAILS
Holly Wade saddles are unique. There
are three different saddle-trees that fit three different types of
horse’s backs. The rider’s position in the saddle
is balanced and natural, allowing their leg to fall directly under
their seat for stability and perfect balance. The design of the tree
and the rounded skirt of the saddle provide freedom in the loin area of
the horse. The bars in front of the saddle are sculpted up and away
from the scapula of the horse’s shoulder allowing great
freedom of movement. The rider’s weight is distributed
equally along the muscle on both sides of the horse’s spine.
The unique saddle tree design was fashioned from a combination of the
old McKlelan army saddle and the Passier dressage saddle. After three
years of development and test riding on many horses, with many
different riders, Moon Run is pleased to present “The Holly
Wade”.
The McCall Lady Wade-
This saddle was developed by Brighton saddlery and fits the wide
backed, mutton withered Quarter Horse’s. It has the same
balanced ride as the Holly Wade saddles, and is ideal for the wider
round backed horses.

The Holly Wade #1-
This saddle fits most horses with regular to high withers, with a
normal back and barrel. The off the shoulder bars offer complete
freedom in the horse’s shoulder, and the unique tree design
and rounded skirt gives comfort and freedom in the horse’s
hind quarters.
The Holly Wade #2-
This saddle is much like the #1 Holly Wade but is made for the more
radical slab-sided thoroughbred type backs. The muscles in either side
of the spine will greatly effect saddle fit. This saddle is ideal for
horses with backs that do not have a lot of muscle on either side of
the spine. It also allow for complete freedom in the horse’s
shoulder. There is a large movement in most thoroughbred and warmblood
horses, and this saddle facilitates large shoulder movement.
To insure proper fit for horse and
rider please call Holly McLain for a free saddle fitting and ordering
